She was predeceased by: her grandson Rey Maldonado. She is survived by: her husband Samuel Maya Sr.; her children, Samuel Maya Jr. (Chacho), Mischaelle Maya (Shaelle) and Marianne Maldonado (Mimi); and her grandchildren, Melissa Kerr, Desiree Blakesley, Jasmine Sirakis, Samuel Maya III (Sonny) and Reyna Maldonado. She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, March 21st 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Menke Funeral & Cremation Center (12420 N 103rd Ave, Sun City, AZ 85351). Whether gathering to create charcuterie boards during the quiet days of the COVID shutdown, playing board games, or singing her favorite songs by Luis Miguel, Margie knew how to make every moment magical.
Margie retired after many years, proud of her contributions to the lives of young learners.
