He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Mertie Whitlock and James Presley Whitlock; his wife Mary Ethel Colby of Bard, CA.; his children, John Michael Whitlock, Carol Eagan, Laurel North (Steve) and Paul A. Whitlock (Wendy); his daughter-in-law Debbie Whitlock-Roush; and his grandchildren, Derek North, Valissa Mathewson (Wes), Justin North (Alyssa), Avril Anders (Brandon), Matthew Whitlock (Amy), Michael Whitlock (Andrea), Nathan Whitlock and Ruthie Whitlock. He was also cherished by great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews and many, many dear friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Desert Heritage Church, 1020 N. Horne Street, Mesa, AZ 85203.
