He was predeceased by: his parents, Garner Ewing Smith Sr. and Margaret Anne Johnson; and his sister Arlene Mugford. He is survived by: his grandchildren, Jordan, Austin, Grant, Tracy and Patti; and his great grandchildren, Andrew, Barrett, Madi, Forrest, Keelee and Hunter.
He died of Alzheimer's.
