He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Jane "Janey" Goerke Silverthorn; his children, Monica Silverthorn and Michael Silverthorn; his daughter-in-law Pattie; his children, Christine Silverthorn, Rebecca Silverthorn and David Silverthorn; his brother-in-law Art Goerke; his grandchildren, Tyler Silverthorn, Spencer Silverthorn, Elizabeth Silverthorn and Joey Silverthorn; his siblings, Larry Silverthorn, Barbara Venus and Linda Silverthorn; and his sister-in-law Sandy Silverthorn. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
