She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Richard Brooks and Hattie Howard Brooks; her husband Alphonso Singleton; and her siblings, Mary O. Reese of Phoenix, AZ and William A. Brooks (Rosa). She was also cherished by children, but she leaves many nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
