He was predeceased by: his siblings, Richard and Kay; and his brothers-in-law, Dick Pozda and Roy Boudreau. He is survived by: his wife Jeanne Mary Burkard; his children, Julie Ann Crawford and Brian Thomas Burkard; his children-in-law, Jennifer Burkard and Steve Yosua; his grandchildren, Brandon, Paige Crawford, Kyle, Troy, Ryan Burkard, Melissa Crawford Palmer, Melanie Crawford Preston, Ashley and Zack Swartz; his great grandchildren, Nina Burkard, Anthony and Christian Soto; his siblings, Eileen Pozda, Duane Burkard (Pat) and Keith Burkard (Kathleen); and his sister-in-law Joan Boudreau.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to either The Salvation Army or the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.
