He was predeceased by: his parents, Jason Maach and Helen Maach; his parents-in-law, Marilyn Hrubes and Ellwyn; his brother-in-law Tim Smith; and his stepson Tony Friedley.
He is survived by: his friend Shetland Sheepdogs; his wife Liz; his son Bryan D Maach (Amy); his brother Bruce Maach (Leslie); his grandchildren, Cierra, Eriel Maach, Dennis Maach and Hailey Friedley; his daughter-in-law Amber Friedley; and his sister-in-law Lisa Hess (Joel Hess).
