James Ayers Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Ayers of Sun City West, Arizona, born in Champaign, Illinois, who passed away on February 9, 2023 at the age of 99. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of James Ayers to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, John D. Ayers and Pearl Bray; his wife June Davidson; his stepfather William Matteson; his brother Villard Ayers; his niece Debbie Woodworth; and his nephew Tony Ayers.

He is survived by: his children, James M. Ayers, Pamela Rittmiller (Bryan) of Fairview Heights, IL. and Janice Wells (Joe) of Champaign, IL.; his brother John E. Ayers of Mahomet, IL.; and his nephew John Ayers Jr.. He is also survived by 5 Grandchildren, and 16 Great Grandchildren.

Upon their closing he went to work at the Sun City West Foundation where he retired again at 92.
