He is survived by: his wife Helen Mikkila Fawcett; his children, Kathy Makela (Rob), Scott Fawcett (Pennae) and Peggy Jo Fawcett; his grandchildren, Scott Makela (Kelly), Ted Makela, Kiirsten Kamrath (Dan), Chad Fawcett (Mandy) and Kevin Fawcett (Jill); his great grandchildren, Kaarina, Kamryn Makela, RJ, Kamden Kamrath, Trey, Isla Fawcett, Luke and Ellie Fawcett; his caregivers, Juanita, Susie, Jessica, Esmerelda, Sandy, Alma and Noemi; and also Jean Makela.
