He was predeceased by: his parents, Andres Anaya and Mary Braiser Anaya. He is survived by: his children, Eugene Anaya, Elizabeth Logan (Ray), Kenneth Anaya, Violet Leonard (Freddy) and Christopher Anaya (Natalie); his wife Lydia Anaya; and his sisters, Helen Dow and Dora Barela. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren.
