He was predeceased by: his parents, John F. Burns and Eleanor Burns; his parents-in-law, Wallace F. Swingle and Mary Lou Swingle; and his brothers-in-law, Joseph Dixon and Fred Swingle.
He is survived by: his wife Marjorie L. Burns; his children, Will Burns, Bryan and Beverly Thiel; his grandchildren, Brilynn and Breann Gonzalez; his sister Elsa Pittman (Tom Pittman); his nephew Eric (Mary); and his niece Abigail. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 22nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Veterans' Memorial Cemetery (1300 Buffalo Soldier Trail, Sierra Vista, AZ 85635).
