He was predeceased by: his parents, Valentina and Alexander; and his daughter Tina. He is survived by: his wife Incha; his son Robert; his daughter-in-law Kimberly (Young); his grandchildren, Cydnii, Valen, Amaria and Anthony; and his great grandchild Mila.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Disabled American Veterans, an organization that provided invaluable support to Walter throughout his life, particularly during his struggles resulting from his service during the Vietnam War.
