He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonardo Tamayo and Julia Tamayo; and his siblings, Leonard, Molly Tamayo and Grace Parra.
He is survived by: his wife Maria Elena Tamayo; his children, Alma Silva (Joel) and Tony Tamayo (Sandra); his grandsons, Antonio Tamayo, Claudio Estrada and Davian Estrada; and his siblings, Gloria Noperi, Leticia Ramirez (Rogelio), Alicia Weber (Jack) and George Tamayo (Maggie). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
