He was predeceased by: his parents, Florence Goethe and William Goethe; his former wife Joann; and his brother William. He is survived by: his wife Judith Goethe; his sons, Edwin Goethe Jr. (Penny), William Goethe (Laura), Kenneth Goethe (Joann), Robert Goethe (Dawn) and Christopher Goethe (Kariann); and his sisters, Beth Hamilton (Keith) and Ruth Woodbury (Jim). He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
