He was predeceased by: his parents, Elwood Moore and Louvenia Bowser-Moore; his child Sydney Moore; his granddaughter Alycia Parcells; and his siblings, Synomia Leary, Roberta McIntyre, Louveria Moore, Dorothy Boone, Bessie Nowell and Elwood Moore, Jr. (Herbie).

He is survived by: his wife Susan; his daughters, Cindy Martinson (Edward) and Cheri Parcells (Brian); and his siblings, J. T. Moore (Linda), Melvin Moore (Dorothy), Allen Eley (Barbara), Beatrice Gatling and Jean Jernigan (C. S.). He is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

“I am so very sorry to hear of Herbie’s passing. I didn’t know him in person, but Sydney was my best friend since we were 12 until her death at age 20. I visit her grave every year I come to Showlow and it always looks so nice. This year, I saw Herbie’s site, and this was the first I knew of it.
