He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Eph Mills and Nell Penrod Mills; his wife Cheryl Holliday; his son Barry Mills; his son-in-law Marco Ramirez of San Diego; his children, Ryan Mills of Phoenix, Marcie Hall of Taylor and Bowen Mills; his daughters-in-law, Bonnie Carpenter of Phoenix and Kim Mills of Phoenix; his son Bill Mills; his grandchildren, Morgan Mills, Jordan Mills, Jayme Crowther, Clayton Mills, Chancellor Mills, Collin Mills, Carson Hall and Dillon Mills; his great grandchildren, Dallas Hancock, Harper Hancock, Brody Crowther, William Mills and Cordell Mills; his sister Kathy; his brother-in-law Jack Tippets of Show Low; his brother Drexel; and his sister-in-law LoRee Mills of Snowflake. He was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.
