He was predeceased by: his wife Valerie. He is survived by: his children, Karen Hearne (Patrick) of McKinney, TX and Michael Mager (Mary Church) of Seattle, WA; his granddaughter Stacy Howlett (Mike) of Chicago, IL; his stepgrandchildren, Joseph Raker (Dawn) and Tiffany Irving (Jeremy); his sister Lois Schillo of Cedar Lake, IN; and his siblings-in-law, Georgia Mager of Sun City, AZ and Donald Harle of Munster, IN. He is also survived by 3 step-great grandchildren.
The family would like to thank the staff at Brookdale Stonebridge Ranch Assisted Living for providing Jim with a loving home for the last year and for being there for him during the long Covid-19 lockdown.
