He was predeceased by: his parents, Cora Ayers and John Ayers; and his brother John Joseph Ayers. He is survived by: his wife Jo Ann Ayers; and his siblings, David Ayers and Darlene Ayers Birmingham.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers contributions be made to any veterans non-profit organization.
