With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Richard Alan Stephenson of Scottsdale, Arizona, born in Macon, Georgia, who passed away on January 8, 2025 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Richard Alan may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was predeceased by: his son William Alexander Stephenson; his parents, Marshall Earle and Ruth Harrison Stephenson; and his brothers, Marshall E. Stephenson, Jr. and Bill Stephenson.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Baker Stephenson of Scottsdale, AZ; and his siblings, Rita King (Wiley) of St. Marys, GA. and Carlton Dean Stephenson (Lisa) of Macon, GA..
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 22nd 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Messinger Indian School Mortuary (7601 E Indian School Rd, Scottsdale, AZ 85251). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025.
