He was predeceased by: his parents, Luther Hume and Naomi Hume. He is survived by: his wife Sheryl Briesh Hume; his son Ralph Eugene Hume Jr. (Gene); his daughter-in-law Veronica Hume; his granddaughters, Alexis Lynn Hume and Avigail Mare Hume; his great grandchild Sophia Madelyn Drexler; and his brothers, Lonnie Hume (Kathy) and Larry Hume (Stefanie).
