Orlando Cabrera Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Orlando Cabrera (Scottsdale, Arizona), who passed away on December 30, 2020, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Reynaldo Cabrera and Zoila Rosa Gonzalez; his siblings, Hernan and Olga Cabrera; and his nieces and nephews, Mauricio Cabrera and Rebeca Cabrera Peters.
He is survived by: his wife Susana Elena Polit Cabrera; his children, Urian Steve Cabrera, Diana Holland (Greg Holland), Gloria Eichenauer, Alex Cabrera (Vicki Cabrera), Lucy Doak (John Doak) and Laura Thompson (Corey Thompson); his grandchildren, Dustin Holland, Stefan Eichenauer, Stosh Eichenauer, Christopher Holland, Taylor Peters, Tessa Hockaday, Jared Peters, Alexis Cabrera, Sophia Doak, Jordan Leyden, Carissa Cabrera, Hayden Peters, Jessie Holland, Michael Doak, Elise Thompson, Nicholas Thompson and Christian Thompson; and his great grandchildren, Hazel Hockaday, Carsyn Eichenauer, Houston Hockaday, Colbie Eichenauer, Adalyn Eichenauer and Orlando.
He was an introspective, kind and compassionate man devoted to his family and his medical practice who undoubtedly left the world a better place. Due to Covid-19 restrictions the Visitation and Rosary prayers will be private for the family only.
Orlando went on to specialize in Neuropsychiatry at the Menninger Foundation and became a board-certified psychiatrist in 1959.
