He was predeceased by: his parents, Ole Olsen and Alma Olsen; and his son Mark. He is survived by: his wife Mary Ellen; his daughter-in-law Deb Olsen; his children, Lylis Olsen and Amy Hugo (Jerry); his grandsons, Brian (Jennifer), Robbie Olsen (Sabrina), Skyler and Zachary Hugo; and his great grandchildren, Eli, Reece and Charlotte Olsen.
