He was predeceased by: his parents, Kashiben Patel and Raojibhai Patel; his former spouse Ushaben Patel of Bandani, India.; his wife Usha Patel; and his brother Ramesh Patel.

He is survived by: his son Bhavin Patel; his granddaughter Alia; his daughter Bhavita Patel Cooley; his son-in-law Timon Cooley; his grandchildren, Devin and Devina; and his brother Raju Patel. He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
