As Mary Ann departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Mary Ann. Though Mary Ann may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Nicholas Gianacopoulos and Katherine Gianacopoulos; and her siblings, Peter and Elaine Maniatis. She is survived by: her husband George; her children, Rev. David and Nicole James (Mike); and her grandchildren, George Bissias, Josie James and Efthymia Bissias.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Friday, December 20th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM. A funeral service was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the Holy Apostles Greek Orthodox Church (2501 S Wolf Rd, Westchester, IL 60154).
