“Lavonne and I were best friends and confidants for the past 13 years. I met her at La Privada while she was walking her dog and from day one I was attracted to her because she had a sparkle and a quick wit and sense of the ridiculous which I found endearing. Over the years she included me in many holiday dinners and so I got to meet her family. Lavonne always seemed truly happy to see me whenever I dropped in randomly and genuinely made me feel special. I will miss her every single day.”
