Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved James Cecil Barnes Jr. (Scottsdale, Arizona), born in Morgan, Georgia, who passed away at the age of 76, on December 26, 2020. He was predeceased by: his siblings, Ronnie, Jeffica Barnes and Cynthia Chisolm; and his parents, James Sr. and Eva.

He is survived by: his wife Joan; his sons, James III and Jeffrey; and his siblings, Sarah Moran, Mary Johnson, Hollis and Linwood. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to The NAACP Legal Defense and Education Fund, Habitat for Humanity and/or The Muhammad Ali Parkinson Center at Barrow Neurological Institute.
