He was predeceased by: his parents, Osie Cooke (Weigle) and Thomas Cooke; his wife Cynthia Blanchard; and his brother Ronald Cooke of Houston, Texas.. He is survived by: his children, Michael Cooke of Phoenix, AZ and Alicia Griffiths (Douglas) of Geneva, Switzerland; his daughter-in-law Helen Griffiths (Jake Peterson) of Las Vegas; and his child Claire Griffiths (Josh Chawla) of New York City.
