She is survived by: her former husband Rex Root; her children, David Root, Debbie Root and Arturo Diaz; her husband Jerry Matherly; her niece Candace Lockwood Turner; her daughter-in-law Gail Root; her grandchildren, Nathan Root, Sarah Wasiak and Micah Root; and her great grandchildren, Gavin and Ashley Root.
