He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Slaughter and Daisy Slaughter; and his brother Bobby. He is survived by: his friend Fix-It; his wife Beverly Katherine Whisenant Slaughter; his children, Kerry and Shanna (Charlie); his grandchildren, Breeana Miner (Kyle), Alendreas Slaughter and Elisa Keadle; his great grandchildren, Carter Rollins, Addilyn Douglas and Ryder Douglas; his siblings, James (Angelia), Eddie, Sue Glover (Mitchell) and Patricia; his mother-in-law Joenette Whisenant; and his sisters-in-law, Marilyn Miller, Charmaine Moorehouse, Leea Hyde and Carol Whisenant. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Bennie Slaughter's name to the Wounded Warriors Project.
