“I was one of his students and wrestlers back at Round Valley class 1982. He was one of the kindest, friendly, and inspiring teacher/coach that I have ever known. He allowed me to get a varsity letter as a neophyte sophomore wrestler even though I only had two JV matches (0-2) (never a reflection on Coach Ray's skills). It has been 40 years since we last saw each other but I will always remember his impact upon my life! Thank you Mr. Ray. Tommy Garrett”
