He was predeceased by: his parents, William Byron Heap and Anona Crosby; his former wife Sybil Bond Heap; his son Dennis Bill Heap; and his siblings, Alma Sherwood, Wallace Heap, Bill Heap and Dennis Heap.
He is survived by: his wife Virginia C. Heap; and his daughters, Sonja Hancock (Pete), Donata Hooe (Winford) and Mella Bradshaw (David). He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren.
