Berta Coleen (Hancock) Williams Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Berta Coleen (Hancock) Williams (Saint David, Arizona), born in Pima, Arizona, who passed away on July 23, 2021, at the age of 90,.
In her early years, she graduated from Pima High School in 1948 & was married to Gaylon Ray Williams May 15, 1948. She was sealed to her eternal companion in the Mesa Temple January 1957.
Berta & Gaylon had four children, Gale, Coleen, Randall & Russell. Berta has been a strong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints all her life, serving as Young Women’s President for 13 years, YW teacher, Relief Society, Activities, Primary & many acts of service for others.
She & Gaylon (Willy) served a mission to Nauvoo, Illinois for a year & a six month mission to Martin’s Cove, Wyoming.
She is survived by her husband, Gaylon (Willy) Williams; her children, Gale Howard (Larry), Coleen Saunders (Read) & Russell Williams; her siblings Don Hancock (Shirley-deceased), Sharon Marble (Ray-deceased) and Kelsey Kouts (Dennis) and 9 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren & 9 great great grandchildren
She is preceded in death by her son, Randall, parents, Bert & Gladys Hancock, two grandsons, a great granddaughter and great grandson.
Funeral services will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 31, 2021, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 640 W. Patton St., St. David, Arizona.
