He is survived by: his wife Valerie Carter; his children, Crystal, Amy Carter, Michael (Sally) and William "Billy" Carter; his grandchildren, William Carter, Desreal Allen, Danna, Brandon, Carlos and Emma Carter; and his siblings, Sharon Turner (Dick), Richard Carter (Joanna), Robert Carter (Vicki) and Cheryl Law. He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
