It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shawn Michael Iversen (Queen Creek, Arizona), born in Long Beach, California, who passed away on September 15, 2023, at the age of 62, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Curtis "Toby" Ole and Earlene Jospehine Iversen (Wedean); his brother Brett Wedean; his father-in-law Richard Hullinger; his cousins, Joel, Foster Iversen and Dave Bartels; his sons, Jacob and Spencer Iversen; his grandparents, Loren "Buster", Margaret "Peggy" Iversen, Earl and Dorothy Wedean; his daughter Lacey Behl (Kyle); his grandchildren, Aria, Becket, Jax and Karter of Yelm, WA; his daughter Chelcee Wickstrand (Cordell); his grandchildren, Cadence, Anden, Taytum and Aniston of Tooele, UT; his stepdaughter Jessica Livesay (Christian); his children, Junibell, Johnathon and Lucas of Hot Springs, SD.; his siblings, Brett Iversen of Las Vegas, NV, Kerri Iversen of Youngstown, AZ, Curtis Iversen (Ann) of Caldwell, ID and Carol Martin (Dwayne) of Wickenburg, AZ; his stepfather Richard Hullinger of Murdo, SD; and his sisters, Amy Rust (Cory) of Rapid City, SD and Sallie Cuny (Tom) of Piedmont, SD. He was also cherished by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces & nephews.
In Shawn's memory, memorials will be given to the Rapid City, SD, chapter of Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing (PHWFF), Inc. PHWFF is a local non-profit that guides Veterans in-need of recovery through fly fishing, mentoring and friendships.
