He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred J. Carter and Irene Ward Carter; and his grandparents, Tillman E. Carter Jr., Nellie Tucker, Walter A. Ward and Sarah Madden.
He is survived by: his wife Holly Adams Carter; his daughters, Michelle (Matt) and Heather; his stepchildren, Gina (Mike), Brandy (Jonathan) and David (Jennifer); his brother Alfred J. Carter, Jr. (Anita); and his grandchildren, Makenna, Austin, Coledon, Hannah, Eli, Baylee, Jacob, Trinity, Nolan, Kaylee, Emma, Adalyn and Dexter.
