He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Jacobs and Mildred Jacobs; and his son Jeff Jacobs. He is survived by: his wife Jennie Jacobs; his children, Lori Hawkins and Ross Jacobs; his grandchildren, Jacob Hawkins, Paige Bryan (Steve), Jennifer Seavey (Joshua), Ryan Jacobs (Alice), Rachel Jacobs and Cade Jacobs; and his great grandchildren, Haylee, Jacob, Kainan, Jaydi, Jewely, Gannon, Aubrey, Negan, Lacey and Stevie.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Prescott High School Athletics in Richard's memory.
