With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Janet Lee Madrid Chesnut of Prescott, Arizona, born in Galax, Virginia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 30, 2024 at the age of 70. Though her name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Janet Lee Madrid leaves upon the hearts of her loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of her spirit and the richness of her legacy.
She was predeceased by: her parent Quesenberry (Chickie) of Alaska; her husband Robert Chesnut; her stepfather Dutch Sturdevant; and her brother Robert Sturdevant. She is survived by: her father Robert Q; her sister Jo Roddy; her niece Ashley Sturdevant; and her great-nieces and great-nephews, Stacy Padilla (Daniel) and Monica Madrid.
