She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Henry Johnson and Mimi Johnson; her former husband Walt; and her children, Walter Brand, Marie Ferris, Linda Townsend, John Brand (Edna), Marni Cavanaugh (Jack), Tom Scharr (Terry Hook), Rod Scharr (Allison) and Brian Scharr (Yorba Linda). She was also cherished by her parents, both of her husbands, all seven of her siblings (Elsa, Arthur, Bertil, Ruth, Doris, Evelyn and Floyd), two sons-in-law (William Ferris and William Townsend), and many other close family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made in Helen's name to the Hillside Church of God in Prescott, AZ (formally the First Church of God) where she served and worshipped for over 50 years.
