She was predeceased by: her parents, Gilbert Lawrence Kennedy Sr. and Myrtle Mae Kennedy (Tanner); and her husband Ben F. Matthews. She is survived by: her children, Debra Nez (Frankie), Susan R. Matthews and Marcus B. Matthews; and her brother Gordon Kennedy (Carol). She is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
