He was predeceased by: his parents, Lee Smith and Ola Mae Smith (Robinson); and his brother Ronald Bryson. He is survived by: his children, Damon Smith, Ryan Smith (Meghan), Tracey Sutherland, Heather Sanchez (Jose) and Hannah Feindel (Shawn); his grandchildren, Parker, Quinton, Aubrey Smith, Jon'nah, Jai'yah, Reginald Sutherland, Joshua, Andrew Nichols, Annabelle Sanchez, Ethan and Isabella Feindel; and his siblings, Leonard Bryson, Lynda McCluney and Pamela Bryson.
Those wishing to honor Lee in a special way are encouraged to make a memorial gift to the MPN Research Foundation in search for a cure to Myelofibrosis, a cancerous blood disorder of which Lee battled the last year of his life.
