He was predeceased by: his parents, Gordon Mengel and Eleanor Mengel (Charleston); and his wife Christina Mengel (Illum). He is survived by: his sons, Eric (Teneil) and Matthew (Stacie); his grandchildren, Ella, Sophia, MacKenzie, Annabella and Willow; his great grandchildren, Abraham and Samson; his sisters, Karen Perry (Skip) and Marie Price (Tom); and his sister-in-law Penny Forrest (Andrew). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
