He was predeceased by: his parents, Dori Hjalmarson and Winifred Hjalmarson; his siblings, Magnus Hjalmarson and Margaret Hjalmarson; his nephews, Daniel Hjalmarson and Mike Hjalmarson; and his niece Rene Jones.
He is survived by: his sons, Brad (Sarah) of Mesa and Eric of Wilcox; his wife Patsy Edwards Hjalmarson; his granddaughter Shawna Hjalmarson; and his brothers, Winfield of Cottonwood, Halldor (Gail) of Phoenix, John (Mary Ann) of California and Larry (Virginia) of Utah.
