He was predeceased by: his parents, William Johnson and Johnny Johnson. He is survived by: his wife Sharon Hancock; his siblings, Kathy and Bill; and his children, Cammie (PJ Allred), Dulcie (Brian Kirkley), Justin (Cari Johnson) and Yankton (Stephanie Johnson). He is also survived by his thirteen grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.

He donated thousands of hours to anyone who was in need as well as in various church callings.
