She was predeceased by: her mother Aurora Herrera; her brother Oscar Herrera; and her grandson Odir I. Montenegro. She is survived by: her husband Tirath S. Gill; her brothers, Ramon Herrera and Olmer M. Herrera (Delmy); her children, José Montenegro (Veronica), Marco Montenegro and Sandra Padilla (Gavin); her stepchildren, Gelim Omar G. Montenegro and Guadalupe Montenegro (Oscar); and her close friends, Irma Berumen and Angelica Leticia Bernal. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren.
