She was predeceased by: her parents, Nellie Halberstadt McKee and Kenneth McKee; her husband John Mefford of Year's Eve; her son Richard Alan Mefford; and her son-in-law Andy Rymer.

She is survived by: her daughter Gail Rymer; her grandchildren, Kelli Krise and Daniel Ward (Alison); her great grandchildren, Mikko Krise, Elizabeth Ward and Kaden Krise; and her sisters, Violet Joralmon and Dorothy Butler. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
