He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Berk and Alma Berk (Schlager). He is survived by: his significant other Susan; his daughter Nancy Langan (Jake Langan); his granddaughters, Rachel, Julia and Louisa; his daughter Lucy Berk-Fisher (Jon Fisher); and his grandson Ethan.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in honor of Mr. Berk to Berklee College of Music or Boston Conservatory at Berklee.
