It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Larry Ray Koonce of Phoenix, Arizona, born in Trenton, North Carolina, who passed away on July 13, 2024, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Koonce and Prudy Helen Mills; his siblings, Gene Koonce, Jerry Koonce and Helen Koonce; his former wife Dianne K. Green; and his niece Angie Conn.

He is survived by: his children, Donald R. Koonce (Shree Koonce), Mischele D. Hampton (Stephen Hampton) and Charlotte M. Koonce; and his grandchildren, Colton Seeton (Lacy Rickman), Ashley Buerkle, Shelbey Koonce (Shaun Alexander), Lawrence Koonce, Shelbie Hampton and Cody Buerkle. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
