She was predeceased by: her son Angelo; her parents, Victor Boisvert and Esther Belanger; her siblings, Richard, Leo, Robert, Edmond, Agnes, Suzanne and Joseph; and her husband George Louis Valonis.
She is survived by: her sons, Louis (Oregon), James (Dimitri) and Paul (Arizona); and her siblings, Pauline, Rita, Gerard, Michel, Maurice and Carole. She is also survived by four sons, aunt.
Visitation was held on Thursday, April 3rd 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral (1973 E Maryland Ave, Phoenix, AZ 85016). A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 3rd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, April 3rd 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the Greenwood Memory Lawn Mortuary & Cemetery (719 N 27th Ave, Phoenix, AZ 85009). In 2021, Gertrude's health began to decline after contracting COVID-19 and being hospitalized for 10 days.
