She was predeceased by: her parents, Felix Mattila and Emily Mattila (Heikkinen); her husband Bob; her siblings, Betty Anderson (Wily), Harvey Mattila (Betty), Fred Mattila (Mary Lou), Barb Reilly (Joe) and Lenore Bonini (Roy); her grandchild Kalina Sorvala; and her great grandchildren, Bridget Sorvala and Trevor Sorvala.
She is survived by: her children, Rory Sorvala (Roxanne), Rodrick Sorvala (Mary), Alynn Sorvala, Jacob Sorvala (Elizabeth), Johan Sorvala and Swen Sorvala (Sarah); and her sister Lois Gaulin (Weldy). She is also survived by 31 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren.
