She was predeceased by: her parents, John C. Chaves and Maria S. Chaves; and her brother John P. Chavez Jr.. She is survived by: her husband Ted R. Scholey; her son Austin E. Menchaca; her grandchildren, Austin, Chandler, Kaileb and Lily; her great grandchildren, Austin and Sadi; and her siblings, Betty Gloria Ramirez, George V. Chavez (Terry Ann) and Patricia A. Andujar. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
